There are two ways to update drivers.

Download the Driver Update Utility for Gateway.
Double-click on the program to run it. It will then scan your computer and identify any problem drivers. You will see a results page similar to the one below:
Click the Update Driver button next to your driver. The correct version will be downloaded and installed automatically. Or, you can click the Update Drivers button at the bottom to automatically download and install the correct version of all the drivers that are missing or out-of-date on your system.

- Power off your device.
- Disconnect the device from your computer.
- Reconnect the device and power it on.
- Double click the driver download to extract it.
- If a language option is given, select your language.
- Follow the directions on the installation program screen.
- Reboot your computer.
Gateway Support Drivers Windows 7
Due to an OS crash, I upgraded my Gateway MX7118 laptop from XP Media Center to Win7 Ultimate. Seems to be working great, except I can't get any sound. The speaker in the corner has a red X, and says 'No Audio Output Device is installed.' No Win7 driver was shown on the Gateway site, so I contacted Gateway and their response was that it's out of warranty, so contact a local technician. Anyone know how I can get a sound out of this thing? I'm loving Win7 so far, but this is a deal-breaker.
